GasCastPrivacy Policy
Last updated October 8, 2026. GasCast collects as little as possible. We don't run ads, we don't use tracking or analytics tools, and we never sell your data.
Using GasCast without an account
You can use the free version without signing up. GasCast doesn't ask for your name or location. Your settings (light or dark mode, your watchlist, chart choices) are saved only in your own browser.
What we store, and why

Payments
Web payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach GasCast. Phone app payments are handled by Apple or Google.
Service providers
- Cloudflare hosts the website and stores the records above.
- Stripe processes web payments.
- Resend delivers sign-in links and report emails.
- Anthropic writes the plain-English forecast summaries from weather and energy figures only. It never receives information about you.
- Forecast data comes from public sources (NOAA, Open-Meteo, EIA, the National Hurricane Center). They never receive information about you.
How long we keep it
Subscription records are kept while you're a customer and as needed for tax and accounting. Notification subscriptions are deleted when you turn alerts off or when they stop working. You can turn off report emails anytime in Account or with the link in each email.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time through the contact form. We'll delete what we're not required to keep.
Children
GasCast is not directed to children under 13.

Updates will be posted on this page with a new date.
